MEDIA RELEASE
GRAINTEC SCIENTIFIC – LAUNCH OF MIRIS DAIRY MILK ANALYSER IN AUSTRALIA
April 23 2009
Graintec Scientific is pleased to announce the Australian release of the MIRIS Dairy Milk Analyser (DMA) for determining fat, protein, lactose and total solids.
“The MIRIS DMA fills a niche in the market for companies that need an extremely accurate instrument, one that is reliable, easy to use and affordable” says Lucas Anstiss, Managing Director of Graintec Scientific.
Many manufacturers are still using either time-consuming chemical analyses (Gerber, Kjeldahl, etc.) or extremely expensive analytical instruments.
The MIRIS DMA offers an excellent alternative. The DMA integrates a tested and certified analysis method (mid IR) in combination with a new, unique technique (patent-pending). Both IDF (International Dairy Federation) and AOAC INTERNATIONAL (Association of Official Analytical Chemists) have approved Mid IR technology for milk analysis.
From only one sample, the DMA analyses milk or cream for fat, protein, lactose, SNF and dry matter (total solids). Components are measured in one simple step and results are shown within 60 seconds. Other outstanding features include its small, robust construction, ease of operation and reliability due to the elimination of all moving parts. The MIRIS DMA also boasts high accuracy with a measuring range that covers anything from low-fat milk to cream (50% fat). The results are presented on the display to two decimals and can easily be transferred to a computer.
