Hand-held Spectrometer
Do you find spectral measurement can often be cumbersome and time consuming?
We have the solution. We now supply a hand-held analysing spectrometer called the “I-Lab”. The I-Lab is a versatile and powerful instrument that allows users to record and compare visible spectrum colour measurments. You can also bring the instrument to the sample source!
Applications include: Remote field work (water quality testing), Process plants (QA and sample testing), Laboratory (rapid data collection and research), Classroom (laboratory and environmental research)
Special features include;
* Weighs only 7.4 ounces and requires little storage space.
* Spectrum PC software – build custom measurements and download data to a PC.
* Measure concentration, absorbance, and sample comparison of liquids and solid surfaces.

Rheometer
What is a rheometer? A rheometer is a laboratory device used to measure the way in which a liquid, suspension or slurry flows in response to applied forces. It is used for those fluids which cannot be defined by a single value of viscosity and therefore require more parameters to be set and measured than is the case for a viscometer. It measures the rheology of the fluid.There are two distinctively different types of rheometers. Rheometers that control the applied shear stress or shear strain are called rotational or shear rheometers, whereas rheometers that apply extensional stress or extensional strain are extensional rheometers. We at Graintec Scientific can supply shear rheometers.

Reducing Sodium in your Food?
Due to regulatory and consumer demand, many food manufacturers have made sodium reduction a key priority. Formulators are faced with challenge of reducing salt levels in new and existing products while maintaining the expected flavour. However, the function of salt as an ingredient is not limited to flavour. Salt helps keep water activity down, a fact that requires attention during any re-formulation efforts.
