AGRASTRIP KITS
Aflatoxins can be found on a wide range of commodities including cereals, nuts, spices, figs and dried fruit. Aflatoxin B1 is found in milk and dairy products.
A rapid lateral flow assay test kit has been developed for the analysis of total aflatoxin analogs (B1,B2,G1,G2) in grains and grain products.
Benefits:
Rapid - 5 minute method
Stable - 12 months shelf-life
Cost Effective - no expensive equipment is needed
User Friendly - easlily train technicians in minutes
Rugged - store at 2-25°C
Performance Tested - USDA/GIPSA approved method
Aflatoxins are a group of mycotoxins produced by some Aspergillus species like A. flavus or A. parasiticus. Primarily aflatoxin B1, B2, G1 and G2 and the hydroxylated metabolite M1 are of interest, with afl atoxin B1 as the most frequently occuring. Aflatoxins can be found on a wide range of commodities including cereals, nuts, spices, figs and dried fruit. Aflatoxin M1, the metabolite of Afl atoxin B1, is found in milk and dairy products.
Aflatoxins are of major interest because of their impact on both human and animal health. Afl atoxin B1 is one of the most potent hepato-carcinogens known and hence levels of afl atoxins in the diet are an important consideration for human health.
Most countries established regulatory limits for either afl atoxin B1, B2, G1 and G2, as well as regulatory limits for Aflatoxin M1. Very often regulations also include detailed sampling procedures, as this is one of the most crucial steps on the way to a reliable result Romer mills are especially designed for grinding large quantities of various commodities and to subsample the lot within the same step. A variety of methods and technologies are available for the analysis of grains, cereals, nuts and other possibly infected commodities.
Agrastrip kit performance A rapid lateral flow assay test kit has been developed for the analysis of total aflatoxin analogs (B1, B2, G1, G2) in grains and grain products. There are 3 cut off levels for the Agrastrip™ aflatoxin dipstick test kit: 4ppb; 10ppb and 20ppb. Each kit comes with 24 strips, 24 conjugate wells and one bottle of assay diluent.
Accurate - results are comparable with published HPLC method
Reproducible - consistent results obtained in intra- and inter-laboratory settings
More Selective - three cut off levels are available
Qualitative Yes/No test
For testing raw commodities for presence of alfatoxins with a certain “cut off level” (e.g. 10μg/kg, 20μg/kg or higher) we recommend using Agrastrip™
AGRAQUANT® - ELISA TEST KITS
Agraquant® ELISA test kits are available in both 48 and 96 well format.Quantitative results are determined using an ELISA reader.

Agraquant® ELISA kits are also available for Deoxynivalenol, Fumonisin, Ochratoxin, T-2 Toxin and Zearalenone.
AFLACUP™ TEST KITS
The Romer Labs AflaCup™ is a fast reliable and easy to use, screening test kit for the qualitative analysis of total aflatoxin. The test is based on solid-phase immunoassay technology where an antibody binds specifically with aflatoxin. It is applicable for corn, feeds, cottonseed, raw and roasted peanuts along with many other commodities. The AflaCup™ test kit result is easily interpreted by a simple colour change: a blue dot indicates a negative result or a white cup indicates the presence of aflatoxins above the detection limit. Test kits are available in 10 and 20 pbb cut-offs. Dilution schmes allow for lower and higher detection limits.
