Craig Moore (pictured above) from Graintec Scientific installed the equipment on-site just prior to the commencement of grain receival in late October last year. 

The investment in high quality grain testing equipment was vital to ensure the Rudall site was correctly measuring the quality of incoming grain.  “We needed to work with a reputable and experienced company who understood exactly what grain testing equipment we would need to run the site” said Mark Rodda – CEO of FREE Eyre”.  “More importantly, a company who could consult with us in demonstrating the correct use of the equipment and how we could apply the technology in meeting grain receival standards.”

Every truckload of grain that arrives to the Rudall site must have a representative sample of grain analysed.  From the vacuum sampler to the sieve, Graintec Scientific have supplied the equipment for this process to occur quickly, accurately and at the same time meeting standards. 

A vital piece of technology used is the Protein and Moisture NIR Analyser.  “Graintec supplied us the CropScan 1000B Trade Approved NIR analyser.  It measures the protein and moisture level of grain.  It is crucial for the longevity of our business that this machine is very accurate and reading within industry standard tolerances.  I’m pleased to say it has performed exceptionally well”, confirmed Mark.  “Graintec have the expertise and knowledge to assist us in maintaining all of our equipment.  It is comforting to know they can be relied upon to support us at anytime.”
