Water Activity Meters - Water activity is a critical measurement in determining the shelf life and safety of foods and other substances. The Series 3 gives ±0.003 accuracy on samples from 0.100 to 1.00 aw, and gives the results in 5 minutes or less.

Aflatoxins can be found on a wide range of commodities including cereals, nuts, spices, figs and dried fruit. Aflatoxin B1 is found in milk and dairy products.

A rapid lateral flow assay test kit has been developed for the analysis of total aflatoxin analogs (B1,B2,G1,G2) in grains and grain products.

The Romer RAS Mill is versatile and easy to operate. It will meet most of the sample grinding and sub-sampling requirements for a variety of analyses, including the sample preparation for mycotoxins, moisture, proteins, fats, fibers, GMO's and pesticides. The Romer Labs AflaCup is a fast reliable and easy to use, screening test kit for the qualitative analysis of total aflatoxin. The test is based on solid-phase immunoassay technology where an antibody binds specifically with aflatoxin. It is applicable for corn, feeds, cottonseed, raw and roasted peanuts along with many other commodities. The AflaCup test kit result is easily interpreted by a simple colour change: a blue dot indicates a negative result or a white cup indicates the presence of aflatoxins above the detection limit. Test kits are available in 10 and 20 pbb cut-offs. Dilution schmes allow for lower and higher detection limits.

Agraquant ELISA test kits are available in both 48 and 96 well format.Quantitative results are determined using an ELISA reader.

The unique design of the Romer Series II Mill provides both grinding and sub-sampling of grains or small pellet feeds for mycotoxin testing in a single step. This patented, single step design, grinds and splits each kernel among three chutes, providing a representative, homogeneous sub-sample, which can then be used in the analysis for myotoxins. Proper sample preparation is "key" for the quality control of mycotoxin testing for accurate, consistent and reliable results. This is due to uneven distribution and low concentration of mycotoxins in grains and other commodities.

It is very versatile and easy to operate. Romer Series II Mill was originally designed for the use in sample preparation for mycotoxin analyses. However, the mill can also be used in a variety of other grinding needs such as the sample preparation for moisture, protein, fat, fiber, GMO's and pesticide and other analyses.

Mycotoxins occur in various commodities, many of them highly complex. Compared to the amounts of other components in agricultural commodities like carbohydrates, fatty acids or proteins the amounts of mycotoxins present in a sample are incredibly low. Our clean up columns have to fulfill certain criteria:
