We have the solution - a hand-held analysing spectrometer called the “I-Lab”.  The I-Lab is a versatile and powerful instrument that allows users to record and compare visible spectrum colour measurments.  You can also bring the instrument to the sample source!

The i-LAB system features a patented miniaturized spectral measurement system. This portable instrument, weighing only 7.4 ounces, allows users to measure and anlayze spectral measurements in their own work environments.

The i-LAB can conduct absorbance and transmission measurements with its liquid sample adaptors as well as solid surface reflectance color measurments.  A full visible spectrum of a liquid sample is produced and stored within the device for later uploading into a laptop or a laboratory computer system. Uploaded spectra (up to 500) can be further processed with the i-LAB Spectrum Software - a powerful PC software enabling users to build custom measurement methods which can be downloaded to the i-LAB. Sample measurement is simplified by use of resusable/disposable Samplettes, 25mm round vial, or 10 mm cuvette adaptor.

The i-LAB, which is battery powered (3 AA cells), comes with a standard USB interface for uploading and downloading data and measurement methods.
