Rapid, non-destructive analysis of foods, grains, chemicals and pharmaceuticals
Graintec provides a range of Near Infrared Analysers based on diode array technology. These analysers provide a rapid means of measuring a wide range of materials including: foods, agricultural products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and textiles.
Using various sample cells or fibre optic probes, these analysers offer solutions to many difficult analyses. The unique optics design provides high energy throughput so that measurements can be made through very dense samples including pellets, slurries, grains and semi solids.
Near Infrared Spectroscopy is ideal for measuring organic materials with multiple components. Three chemical bonds; C-H, O-H and N-H, absorb energy in the NIR spectral region. Components such as protein, amides and amines (N-H), moisture and alcohols (O-H), triglycerides, hydrocarbons and aromatics (C-H), carbohydrates (C-O-H) and other compounds exhibit good NIR spectra.

The GTF Food Analyser is designed to provide a quick and convenient means of measuring protein, fat and moisture in processed meat, dairy products, dough and other high liquid content materials. The major advantage of the GTF is the flat dish sample loading mechanism. Semi solid samples can be loaded into a flat dish, scraped across and loaded into the instrument in less than 1 minute. The dish is rotated into as many as 16 positions, and the average of the 16 NIR scans is used to compute protein, fat and moisture. |
The GT Analyser is a unique and powerful NIR spectrophotometer suitable for developing methods of analysis for multiple constituents in foods, polymers, plastics, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, household products, toiletries and many other materials using transmission spectra. The system includes a diode array spectrophotometer and a selection of three sample cells for measuring liquids, solids, semi-solids, slurries and pastes. There are five dedicated models in the GT range. |

The Graintec Series of analysers are full spectrum NIR transmission spectrophotometers similar to other whole grain analysers used in the agricultural industry. The unique advantage of the GT Series is that they employ a spectrograph and linear diode array detector to produce the NIR spectrum from 720-1100nm.
The Graintec On Farm Analyser (GT-OF) measures protein, moisture and oil in cereal grains such as: wheat, barley, corn, soy bean, sorghum and canola. The system is simple to operate, rugged and portable and has been designed for use by farmers as a tool to help better manage crop production and harvesting.
The Graintec Bench Model (GT-BM) has been designed for use in a laboratory, office or weigh bridge shed. The GT-BM is capable of measuring protein, oil and moisture in whole grain and powders, such as, cereal grains, oil seeds, flour, meals and stockfeeds. The GT-BM includes a moving sample cell to automate sampling and to average spectra over a larger sample area. Up to four constituents can be measured at the same time.

The FOP-38 OL is an industrial grade on line analysis system, capable of measuring liquids, slurries, powders and granules. The system consists of a NIR Spectrometer, a Remote Sampling Device and a Remote Display Module.
The NIR spectrometer is connected to the Remote Sampling Device by a length of Fibre Optic Cable. This offers the advantage of isolating the spectrometer from a harsh environment.
The Remote Sampling Device can be configured to take spectra from a fluid in a pipe or tank, a moving stream of granules, pellets or powder, or off a moving film or belt.
The Remote Display Module provides a clear readout for operators. Alternatively, the data can be output through a serial port or 4-20m Amp port. Software is also available for continuous monitoring, trend charts and data storage.
